pirateygoodnessI told you guys there would be a few of these. This is for episode 1.07, aka The One With The Evil Spider Actress Where Lauren Has Great Hair. Come enjoy it with me, friends.
Lost Girl 1.07: Mostly Pictures of The Gay Parts
Okay. So first of all: I did not cap substantial swaths of this episode, but if you enjoy ridiculousness, Ksenia Solo making a lot of outrageous faces, or spider actresses, you should download this and actually watch it all the way through. I capped in anticipation of just discussing the Bo/Lauren parts, which are my favourites.
HOWEVER, BASICALLY the plot of this episode is as follows: Kenzi has decided to run a scam where she does exorcisms on homes, because she is hilarious/a con artist/likes money. And in one of the homes, an evil paranoia spider who is actually some kind of Fae crawls into her purse, and bites her. SOON SHE WILL BE ~INFECTED.
The storyline I'm focusing on begins when Bo and Dyson met at the scene of the murder/exorcism/evil paranoia spider, and Dyson follows her back to the bar. Except that Bo already had plans to meet Lauren at the bar. WHAT A POTENTIALLY HUMOROUS CIRCUMSTANCE.
Lauren arrives, all adorable with her fluffy hair and cute blazer, and Bo is all OH I GUESS WE CAN ALL HANG OUT, EVEN THOUGH DYSON AND I HAVE SEX ALL THE TIME AND I'M SUPPOSED TO BE MEETING LAUREN FOR A DATE. IT'LL BE FUN AND NOBODY WILL BE UNCOMFORTABLE.
It is, predictably, the most awkward thing in the universe. Lauren is awesome and stands her ground, Dyson is a territorial jerk. Bo tries to get them to do shots together, but Lauren politely bails on the evening.
Meanwhile, the paranoia spider bites Kenzi and Bo. Symptoms of being infected include: snapping at your roommate about dishes like a jerk, headaches, and being itchy. Also, PARANOIA. (And later: MURDER.)
Anyway. Bo goes to ♥Hot Doctor Lauren♥ so she can sort out what's happening, because she is having headaches and being itchy and paranoid. While she's there, she hallucinates Lauren and Kenzi making out, and it's. . .kind of ridiculous and unsexy, but whatever. GIRLKISSING.
And then a whole bunch of stuff happens. Lauren figures out that the paranoia spider is a kind of Fae that can cause like, riots and mass homicide, so she calls the authorities and tells them that Bo's house (with the paranoia spider and Bo and Kenzi inside) is a threat to public safety. Which, okay, means that Bo and Kenzi would probably die, but RIOTS AND MASS HOMICIDE.
Dyson gets up in Lauren's grill, all BUT YOU PUT BO IN ~DANGER. YOU DON'T REALLY WANT TO HAVE SEX WITH HER, YOUR MOTIVES ARE SUSPICIOUS. PS: DID I MENTION THAT BO AND I DID IT? BECAUSE WE DID. IT WAS AWESOME. PROBABLY BETTER THAN WHEN YOU DO IT, IF YOU DO. DO YOU? NOT THAT I CARE. NO BIG DEAL. Lauren is calm and has fabulous hair.
Meanwhile, Bo and Kenzi and Hale are trapped in their house, trying to murder each other in various ways.
The upshot is that they have to find the spider's heart to kill it, and apparently the spider's heart is embedded in some guy's chest. Lauren uses rubber gloves and a steak knife to do surgery on the top of Trick's bar, and retrieve it. It is fantastic.
OMG THE ENDING.
So Dyson and Laurenbut mostly Lauren manage to kill the evil spider actress, and we end with Lauren ~giving Bo a physical, back at the lab. Bo is all THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME PRETTY DOCTOR LADY, I LIKE YOUR HAIR AND YOU'RE BRAVE AND YOU SMELL GOOD, LET'S GO OUT AGAIN AND I WON'T INVITE MY BOYFRIEND? It's adoooooorable, omg. There is something about quiet, awkward TV ladies that just GETS me, and Lauren hits just about every single one of my buttons in this scene.
Dyson tries to threaten Lauren again, all LOOK PESKY HUMAN, I DON'T TRUST YOUR MOTIVES AND I'M STILL BETTER IN BED AND I THINK YOU'RE SHIFTY. DID I MENTION THAT I TURN INTO A WOLF SOMETIMES? Lauren stares him down, because she is a badass lady doctor and also Bo asked her out.
