Sigh. I watched Cracks today, because robotjen keeps tumblring photos of Eva Green and I did mean to see it when it came out, and everyone was all "well it's disturbing but gay but disturbing," and lol. THEY WERE NOT KIDDING RE: DISTURBING.

I apparently need to assume the worst more often, as I assumed the "disturbing" bit was that Eva Green's character ( spoilers. ) WHEN ACTUALLY, OH NO, it's that she ( spoilers + trigger warning. ) GUYS, THIS IS WHY I NO LONGER WATCH MOVIES THAT ARE NOT A) ABOUT PIRATES, B) ABOUT SUPERHEROES, C) MOSTLY BASED AROUND EXPLOSIONS, OR D) FOR CHILDREN.

There needs to be a version of IMDB where when I look up a movie, a warning comes up saying, "pirateygoodness, this movie will make you want to cuddle your cat for an hour in the dark. How about watching Bandslam instead."

Sigh.

IN OTHER NEWS, I continue to be ridiculously into Lost Girl, and am pretty sure that everyone on my flist needs to be watching it. I may put together another "GUYS NO SERIOUSLY YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS SHOW" post, as I feel like this week's upcoming ( episode summary spoilers for 2.09 ) is going to be MAGICAL and want very much to share this magic with every internet-person I've ever met.

Guys, Castle is making me very happy lately. I mean, I never really dislike it, but usually I just sit quietly and let Nathan Fillion amuse me and enjoy when Stana Katic shoots things or uses her shouty voice. For the most part, though, it's not a show that I think I'll ever be ~intensely fannish~ about. I love Beckett, a lot, and I totally want to go for a beer with her and maybe give her a hug when she's sad which is totally normal. But she doesn't grab me as intensely as, say, Olivia Dunham or Cara, in part because she reads as pretty straight to me.

(As I am only capable of truly loving a show when I can at least pretend that it is in fact starring an awesome lesbian career woman who's tough on the outside but secretly has a heart of gold or happens to be Serena van der Woodsen, this is an issue.)

Fortunately, they are keeping me interested by making Beckett's hair look INTENSELY PRETTY and also having her wear t-shirts with overcoats, which inexplicably does things to me.

I'm just saying. She could solve my murder anytime, etc etc inappropriate innuendo.

ALSO, SOMEDAY I WILL POST ABOUT FRINGE. It's just that Thursdays are really inconvenient for me, and then the weekend happens and I forget to do anything until MONDAY, and in internet time, that's like a month too late. Etc. My eternal angst. Blame fivewhatfive.

1. I wrote Fringe fic, you guys. It was really scary, because I am weird about ~jumping into new fandoms~ like that, but now that I have written that story, I feel way better about writing more! MAYBE LATER I WILL.

Also, everyone should tell fivewhatfive to stop being so unreasonable about Anna Torv, because she TOTALLY WATCHED THE FINALE and then coined the phrase "reverse Hannah Montana wig" to describe Alt!Olivia, and that is amazing/exactly what it is. I like when she says hilarious stuff about things that I love.

2. People who have watched Fringe for more than a month: is there a femslash comm for that fandom? Would it not be rad if someone started one? I mean, probably not me, because I'd name it something like "oliviasgaypassiton" or "chicksdoingit_fringe" or something equally tasteful, but whatever. My point is, all I could find was olivia_astrid, and is there another?

3. When I get back, there is TOTALLY going to be a Legend of the Seeker Texts From Last Night challenge, because apparently the consensus is "that would be awesome, also your mom." Some of the people who answered "your mom" had better mean "your mom and I are going to participate," or this is going to be a smallll challenge.

Incidentally, I am fascinated by the OVERWHELMING RESPONSE to my "who would be on top" poll compared to the number of people who answered my TFLN challenge poll. It's like some of you have opinions on gay sex, or something.

4. BRB, GOING TO COMIC-CON. See you all on Monday, if I don't get a chance to post before then. (Although, OBVIOUSLY, if you are one of the people I email with on a regular basis, then GOOD LUCK GETTING A BREAK FROM THAT, LOSERS.) My goal for the weekend is to ask for and receive a hug from as many stormtroopers as possible.
