Oh, SURPRISE! For anyone following

jb_ficexchange author list hasn't been posted yet, so the ~incredibly secret~ fic I wrote for that will have to remain ~totally secret~ for now.

IDK why, as the entire canon is a complicated genre version of CHOOSE ABSTINENCE propaganda and I THINK WE ALL KNOW that I am all about chicks making out with stuff. But Kahlan (?) is really really really hot, in her flowy dresses of noble purity and then in her bondage gear of even more purity. (This. . .makes marginally more sense when you watch the show.)

DO ANY OF YOU WATCH LEGEND OF THE SEEKER? DO YOU KNOW OF ANY PICSPAMS WHERE KAHLAN IS MAKING PRETTY FACES OF ETERNAL SEXUAL FRUSTRATION? I think I need an icon. :|

My best story of this year:
Oh god. All of my long ones, but the one that I'm proudest of writing is definitely A Verb For Falling In Love. The femslash challenges tend to bring out the best in my writing (I'm still really, really proud of the fic I wrote for

femslash07), especially if my recipient ends up being someone I respect as a writer, and that was one where I feel like I got Blair and Serena down and used my language well and did a lot with the short word count.

Possibly it is tangentially related to Blake's ridiculous Sherlock Holmes premiere corset/leotard/lace curtain outfit, although I doubt that comes through in the story.

So, I wrote this story for the Deja Lu challenge at

bleighton_squee, which asked writers to take existing famous (or not-so-famous texts) and rewrite them as Blake/Leighton AUs. So I was all LOL OH MAN, I'M ALL OVER THIS and decided to do one with Twilight. Well, Twilight if there were no vampires and instead they were classy society ladies in the 19th Century.

It got kind of long.

Anyway, it's done and I'm pretty stoked about it and IF THIS SOUNDS LIKE YOUR CUP OF TEA, it's at
