♥ In "things that are 100% fivewhatfive's fault" news, I wrote this Gossip Girl/Lost Girl ficlet, in which Bo and Nate begin a beautiful, beautiful friendship. This friendship mostly involves casual pot-smoking and Nate laughing at Bo's relationship problems. They very occasionally fight crime as long as it happens after brunch.

♥ And in other fic-related news, I have decided that my fivetimesbb story is going to involve Bo and Lauren as dashing pirates, and I sort of totally forgot how sometimes writing truly outlandish AU fic can be so fun.

1. I am so conflicted re: this week's Castle. ( spoilers for castle 4.05 )

2. I have started watching The Good Wife, I guess? I still don't know how I feel about it. I think I have too many serious-business issues re: The Legal System to ever love this show, but Kalinda is really pretty. However, I still really wish it was just Kalinda and that sexy FBI agent who's also Rufus Humphrey's art buyer girlfriend, hanging out and drinking tequila. Alicia could come too, I guess. Cary is a douchebag and I care about all other characters very little.

Things I enjoy: how many old guest cast members from Gossip Girl are on that show.

3. Speaking of Gossip Girl? Recently adventurepants pointed out to me that the whole storyline with Dan's novel is basically the last three seasons of The L Word and Some Of Her Parts. I keep getting flashbacks to Jennifer Beals being all JENNY FUCKING SHECTER and that time Jenny was a film producer who got a ridiculous dog, and Stacy Merkin, and the time Dawn Denbo and her lover Cindi told everyone that It Was On, and basically it's making me want to watch this season of Gossip Girl, please help.

4. PSA: Guys, the bo_lauren ficathon is like, so on right now, until Sunday evening. Go tell people what fanfiction to write or whatever.

Guys, I kind of gave up on Gossip Girl at the beginning of last season, as I'm sure you all have noticed. Not over some like, scandalous case of disgust with the show or anything - I just got behind on my TV, and then friends of mine stopped watching, and I never really saw reason to catch up. (Although god, do I ever miss Serena van der Woodsen in my life.)

However, I never got around to removing all of the Gossip Girl comms from my friendslist, and now all these set photos from Season 5 filming are coming out, and I have no idea what's going on but Blake Lively's hair is still so pretty. Sometimes I enjoy making up stories about them, and pretending that's what's happening with the characters.

I can't even re: this week, you guys.

HOWEVER, let's discuss all the fabulous TV ladies that existed on TV this week, shall we?

First of all, Fringe. FRINGE. Mostly my thoughts on this week's episode are a giant love letter to Anna Torv's acting skills and also her face, and I doubt that will change in future.

I'm also still in love with Bones, although I've never really been fannish about it. I was saying to one of my friends the other day, I always think of it as a show that I'm pretty ambivalent about, but I've been keeping up with every single episode for like six seasons now. So I guess I'm not that ambivalent.

Anyway, Temperance Brennan is still my homegirl, even if she's not at all secretly a lesbian, and I'm all over this season so far.

I'm still behind on Gossip Girl, but fivewhatfive tells me it's gay, so I'm looking forward to it.

HEARTS IN MY EYES over Fringe last night, you guys. HEARTS. IN. MY. EYES. (Secret aside to carmen_sandiego: you will like it lots once you get there.)

Anyway, this is that entry where I post the ~shows I'll be following, so that you all can look at my list and re-evaluate our friendship judge me be impressed by my fabulous taste.

Monday: Gossip Girl, Hellcats.
Thursday: FRINGE. Also Bones and Castle.

If anyone has very serious recommendations of other stuff I like NEED to watch, I'm totally up for them. (Although honestly, for the next few weeks I'm going to have trouble even keeping current on these shows. LOL MY LIFE.) However, I've already been made aware of Rizzoli & Isles and Lost Girl, and am sort of on the fence about both.

ALSO, as a special gift for you all, the Warehouse 13 S1 gag reel. I forgot that this season isn't actually over until A Very Warehouse 13 Christmas airs, and MAN THAT'S GOING TO BE RAD/TOTALLY OVER THE TOP.

While we're discussing Blake Lively, we of course also need to have a serious conversation about her Marie Claire shoot. For which I may be considering buying the magazine, because it is ridiculous and amazing and features glamour shots of her with her dog. This is legit even better than the time Vanessa Hudgens did a photo shoot with a handful of kittens.

I really enjoy that these pictures are both gorgeous, and vaguely vintage-y in a way that makes me think of Spy Blake and Spy Leighton.

LOLL you guys I had a dream last night that Demi Lovato tweeted about losing her virginity, and I SWEAR TO GOD I woke up and thought it had actually happened. WHAT IS MY DEAL.

Also, okay. So there's this big bang (for the uninitiated: fic challenge for stories >10K words) for Gossip Girl taking signups, called xoxobigbang, and I sort of secretly really want to sign up. There is this epic story, involving Blair and Vanessa trapped in Manhattan (on Manhattan?) after the apocalypse, that I've been kicking around since I signed up for apocabigbang and had to bail, and I just like, want to. But I keep waffling, because like, what if I really want to spend a vast chunk of my summer writing epic Cara/Kahlan AUs instead? WHAT THEN.

The other thing we need to discuss, ladies and gents: THE FACT THAT SELENA GOMEZ AND LEIGHTON MEESTER ARE DOING A MOVIE TOGETHER, goodness gracious. I have a secret hope in my heart that Leighton will like, get her drunk and teach her to have fun, in a very gentle and only slightly age-inappropriate way.
