Bo and Lauren, having that talk. This is sweet and in character, and kind of hurts in that way that Bo/Lauren always seems to. I love it.

I don't know, you guys. I'm kind of the worst comic fan ever, but I do love Birds of Prey and I definitely have a soft spot for the way that Helena totally wants to bang Dinah like, all the time. This is a really endearing look at the two of them kind of maybe sort of starting something, that ties into the recent BoP run really nicely.

She's got no future (just a life to endure), by mosca (True Blood, Jessica/Pam, R)
If you've been watching True Blood this season, you know all about how Jessica is slowly, quietly becoming amazing. This story walks through the way Jessica and Pam would and should hook up, and fits really nicely with what we know about Season 4's arc so far. Also, it's sexy, and also, slutty queer lady vampires.

Meminerunt Omnia Amantes, by thrace_ (Lost Girl, Bo/Lauren, R)
Guys, this is hands-down amazing. It is Bo and Lauren, and thrace_ gives Lauren the backstory she totally has in my heart, and Bo is an awkward idiot horndog and Kenzi is the Kenziest and Bo has to save Lauren from a thing, and it involves feelings and sexiness and an actual plot. It's cute, and very in character, and then sometimes there are moments that make your heart beat faster while you're reading, and basically it's everything I like in fanfiction so I cannot be coherent about it at all. RUN. DON'T WALK. THIS IS THE BEST STORY EVER.

This time next week: FanExpo is happening. There is a Lost Girl panel. Goal: to not make any embarrassing Dr. Porn Lady jokes while in the same room as Zoie Palmer. Also, to be in the same room as Zoie Palmer. And possibly Anna Silk. And that one that fivewhatfive likes.

Seriously seriously seriously, it's wonderful. EVERYONE GO READ IT AND TELL HER SHE'S THE MOST BRILLIANT.

It is Legend of the Seeker fic, and also 8800 words of CARA AND KAHLAN BEING GROUCHY AND SNUGGLING AND THEN BEING GROUCHY BUT STILL SNUGGLING AND THEY SPOON AND IT'S AMAAAAAAAAAAAZING HOLY FUCK. And like, okay, thrace_ only wrote it because I sort of made her, but it is PHENOMENAL GAY ART ABOUT LESBIANS in this perfect, in-character way that feels like a secret extra queer (or cweer, or kweer) subtext episode of the show, and everyone in the universe needs to read it. Run, do not walk.

HEY DO YOU GUYS KNOW WHAT IS AWESOME? When your incredibly talented friends feel that they've somehow ~wronged~ you and actually agree to your half-joking suggestion that you write them dorky date fic featuring your favourite teenage popstars.

IN OTHER WORDS, jengrrrl WROTE ME A STORY AND IT IS GRRREAT. (See what I did there? I MAY JUST QUIT SCHOOL AND WRITE PUNS, PROFESSIONALLY. LIKE THOSE OLD CRANKY MUPPETS.)

First of all, I need to discuss the story that got written for me: My Female Trouble II, by fivewhatfive, who is a SNEAKY WHORE and conned me into thinking she was writing for someone else and had dropped out, just so I wouldn't figure out that she was writing the greatest story ever for ME. This story is, in all seriousness, epic. It's Blake Lively/Leighton Meester, but it's a Scrubs AU, and includes several dozen ridiculous oblique references to stuff from Scrubs, and also not-so-subtle Ashley/Vanessa references, and basically I think you only catch all of them if you have my brain, because she's amazing. ALSO it makes fun of Kelly Rutherford AND IS ADORABLE. You all should go read it, then tell her she's pretty.

Blair/Jenny set in the future. It's fashion-y and they're both grown-up and sarcastic but in a mature way, and I don't know. It's just good, I don't know how to sell it better than that.

When Nate bails on his travel plans with Vanessa, Serena steps into the gap.

And, of course, I wrote A Verb For Falling in Love (Gossip Girl, Blair/Serena, R) and Her Best Friend Leslie Says (She's Just Being) (HSMRPF, Vanessa/Ashley, PG) for jengrrl

And. . .wow, all of that is tied to Gossip Girl. I mean, I knew going in that it was the only listed fandom that I continue to be interested in, but still. Goodness gracious.

So, tamaraface is kind of this shockingly talented genius, and she wrote this series based on the Elle shoot that is amazing. It's Zac and Vanessa and Ashley and they're all working shit jobs and living together in this ratty apartment and this is one story of how they get together. Sort of. It makes my heart hurt, but it's so good.
