pirateygoodnessGuys, guys. REMEMBER HOW I WAS STOKED ABOUT LOST GIRL STARTING AGAIN?
I REMAIN REALLY ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT THIS SHOW.
Things:
1. LOL, Dyson. I can't even. I feel like this screencap, in which he is coping with his emotional problems by brooding alone in his apartment, wearing leather, next to his motorcycle of repressed danger and emotion, embodies everything about his character. You're either gonna find that dreamy, or find that ridiculous, and clearly I am not the former.
2. I did not realize how much this show needed Bo and Kenzi getting drunk until they did it, but it really is kind of the heart and soul of this show.
Also: LE MERDEFACE. Hearts in my eyes, Kenzi. Well played.
3. BO AND LAURENNNN omg hearts. Well, mostly LAUREN, to be honest. I mean - there is an argument to be made, that Bo and Dyson got to have their ~talk onscreen, while Bo and Lauren appear to have settled things quietly offscreen, and that's kind of unfair and ugh Dyson is boring and why do we keep having to pay attention to him having feelings about his feelings while shirtless.
On the other hand? God, I am such a sucker for Lauren, I don't even care. Her hair was so pretty, and she was so sweetly tired and attentive and Bo was nice to her and my heart skipped a few beats. They fussed over each other! Lauren was all "Oh, you have a bruise, WHY AREN'T YOU TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF PS YOU'RE WONDERFUL" and Bo was all, "MAYBE TAKE A NAP OR WHATEVER, PS YOU'RE CUTE WHEN YOU'RE TIRED."
Also, remember that time Lauren came over and Bo fed her dinner and watched her sleep? Like just adopt a golden retriever already, omg.
Mostly, I am stoked because Bo seems to be treating Lauren like a legitimate equal being, rather than someone who is a slave to ~the man~ and needs to give her information like, yesterday. Maybe this is because the Ash is dying? Maybe this has to do with her pants? Maybe this has to do with Bo's new season two ~maturity~? Either way, it was amazing.
3. Speaking of Bo's pants, LOLLLL HER FACE AT THAT RAVE. I LOVE HER SUCCUBUS GIRLBONER, IT IS ODDLY CHARMING. SHE IS EVEN WORSE THAN MISTER LIVELY.
Oh man, it has been a while since I loved a show like this. I want to hop into this world and write fic about ladies kissing, and it's easy because it's a show that passes the Bechdel test on a regular basis. And also everyone is beautiful and they all make out CONSTANTLY.
In conclusion: EVERYTHING I WANTED OUT OF THE SEASON PREMIERE, PLUS A BIT EXTRA. WHEN ARE THERE MORE EPISODES.
