Three things and some pictures, before I leave for the day.
OH GOD THIS EPISODE. I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN.
OKAY THAT'S A LIE, I DO KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN.
Ahem. Anyway.
1. THE PLOT, which was amazing and I think featured basically all women scheming with each other and saving men, BEST. Also I love that this was a Vex episode, APPARENTLY HE IS THE HARBINGER OF LESBIANS?
1a. LOLLL the return of Jungle Jeeves, aka my favourite fake TV show next to Inspector Spacetime. I DON'T KNOW WHY, IT JUST AMUSES ME SO MUCH.
2. SWEET BABY JESUS, RIGHT, THE GAY SEX.
FIRST, THE PREAMBLE TO THE GAY SEX. My favourite part of this is when Bo is all, "No, I won't let anything happen to you ever, I promise," and Lauren is all, "I believe that you'll try." Because she's, uh, met Bo before.
AND THEN THEY HAVE SEX. But not just any sex, the OH MY GOD I'M LEAVING AND I DON'T KNOW WHEN WE'LL GET ANOTHER CHANCE TO BE TOGETHER kind of sex, which is one of my top ten favourites. Also, we have graduated from the Strummy Guitars Of Tender Gay Lady Love to actual music.
(Also also, nnghskdfjl;, etc. For artistic reasons of course, and not for reasons that mean I will be rewatching it again on iTunes in glorious hi-def.)
3. OH GOD, LAUREN. I have discussed this at length withthrace_ before, but basically YES I KNEW IT, someone Lauren loved was in peril and that's why she agreed to be kept by the Ash. And now we know that it's her girlfriend, and we are in this DELICIOUS CATCH 22 OF EMOTIONS, where Bo wants to free Lauren, but also wants Lauren to not date her frozen-in-a-tomb-of-science girlfriend Nadia.
Things that I enjoy about this right now: Bo is not freaking out that Lauren ~lied to her~ right away, and Kenzi appears to be on Team Lauren, for the time being. Both of these seem like good signs for Future Ladykissing.
And oh my heart that speech at the end, ♥Lauren♥. IDK. I mean, obviously Lauren still loves Nadia, but god, she cares for Bo so much right now. Watching that last scene made my feelings have feelings, and then those feelings had tiny baby feelings, and those baby feelings freaked out at how awesome this was.
ALSO CAN WE PLEASE DISCUSS PAST LAUREN, BECAUSE I HAVE SO MANY THOUGHTS RIGHT NOW. (I mean, because I am me and a little bit shallow, I'm mostly picturing her as this cocky, straight-out-of-residency rising star, who has an adorable girlfriend who she bends over tables and is the big spoon to.)
