HA. UNNAMED IMAGE EDITING SOFTWARE, YOU HAVE RETURNED TO ME. IT IS TIME FOR A RECAP-WITH PICTURES FOR EPISODE 10, AKA: The One With The Cage Fights Where All The Girls Had Feelings.
Thing one: someday, I will find a way to work "sugarcrotch" into a conversation in a way that is not painfully creepy. It may/may not be my new favourite word.

Also, LOOK. LOOK AT BO'S FACE when Lauren calls, SHE LIKE LIKE LIKES HER.

So. There is this whole plot with Fae cagefighting, which is apparently a thing. There is a human who is suspiciously good at it. Bo investigates. And by "investigates" the show of course means, "takes up competitive mixed martial arts." We will get to that later.
For now: there is ALSO a plot where the sister of Bo's first boyfriend/victim (who lol, is named Kyle, the least romantic of all the names) comes back to avenge her brother's death and make Bo face justice for what she's done. Clearly, every single person in Bo's life - especially Kenzi - tries to cover for her, because they care/don't want her to go to actual jail.
Bo is, understandably, kind of mad at all of them for lying and not letting her handle the matter herself.

Except then oh god, OH GOD, she and Kenzi have an actual, shouty, angry fight, because Bo thinks she has to leave town now that she's been ~found~, and I CANNOT EVEN COPE WITH HOW MANY FEELINGS I HAD ABOUT THE FEELINGS IN THIS SCENE. BO IS TURNING INTO ONE OF MY TOP FIVE FAVOURITE GIRL-WOOBIES, HOW DID THIS HAPPEN.

She gives this whole speech about her childhood, and being lied to, and suddenly her totally off-the-handle responses to being lied to over the past two seasons make a ton more sense, and also OH MAN TINY TEENAGE BO, FEELING DIFFERENT AND THINKING SEX IS EVIL, AND ALSO - I MEAN THIS 100% UNIRONICALLY - OH GOD POOR KYLE.

HONESTLY I WOULD BE LOLLING EXCEPT THAT SHE AND KENZI FUCKING DESTROYED ME, and approximately 87% of that was Ksenia Solo's FACE, GOD.
(Especially that bit at the end, where she unpacks Bo's bag, OUCH.)
Anyway. For various Reasons, Bo has to attend her regularly scheduled cagefight, even though she's having a lot of feelings about what happened with Kyle. She wraps her hands, moodily, and wears a black tank top that I appreciate for artistic reasons.
Kenzi comes by, and basically says that she's going to follow Bo wherever she runs to. But in a way that's sort of heartbreaking and sweet, not creepy.
(Aside: IDK if these caps show it, but Ksenia Solo did this thing where she sort of sadly plucked at Bo's ponytail, because Kenzi clearly wanted to give Bo a big hug and have everything be okay between them, and GODDAMN, I CANNOT COPE WITH THIS. APPARENTLY KENZI IS NOT ALLOWED TO BE SAD EVER? IDK IT'S LIKE WATCHING A KITTEN CRY, I CAN'T TAKE IT.)

OKAY SO THERE IS A CAGEFIGHT. Except halfway through, Bo has an attack of low self esteem and refuses to fight because she's pretty sure that she's a monster filled with evil.

Dyson and Kenzi drag her out of the ring, and take her back to Dyson's place. She is refusing to heal, and all fetchingly beaten up, and OKAY. So I know, on a rational and grown-up level, that Bo is being super childish and immature. However, um, it's possible that I still have not quite got over my crushes on both Faith and Starbuck, so UNFFFFFF BO I ENJOY WHEN YOU'RE ANGRY AND WEAR TANK TOPS AND SHOULDER PEOPLE OUT OF YOUR WAY.
Anyway. Dyson has called Lauren over to ~tend to Bo's wounds.~ He actually gives them privacy and a little "take care of her, broski" shoulder tap to Lauren. Clearly he is possessed. Whatever, it's awesome.

Lauren tries to coax Bo into healing, and when that fails, she tries to help Bo process, because clearly she is Dealing With Some Stuff. It is pretty much everything I have ever wanted for these two (aside from KISSING obvs), and I want to cuddle this scene to my chest so much omg.

While Lauren is trying to reassure Bo that she's not a monster who deserves to be beaten to death, it's possible that she maybe accidentally kind of tells Bo that she loves her. And then maybe takes it back. Except that she kind of doesn't. She's not sure.
It's awkward but surprisingly sweet, and Lauren recovers nicely, all, "I still really miss Nadia but I need you in my life too and you're wonderful and don't get hurt again and PS I like your face." I mean, she says a lot of that with her eyes, but still.
Basically: LAUREN IS AMAZING. BO IS AMAZING. LOOK AT ALL OF THESE FEELINGS, IT'S LIKE MY MONITOR IS LEAKING RAINBOWS.

And then there is the rest of the episode, in which Bo deals with her emotional baggage and helps keep a tiny Fae child from Making The Same Mistakes, and takes responsibility for herself. AND apologizes to Kenzi.
Like, I know I watch this show mostly for a) the girlkissing, b) Dr Scienceface von Awkward, and c) how ridiculous it is, but somehow this episode gave me Legitimate Feelings About Character Journeys. It really is kind of a huge deal that Bo has come from slinging Kenzi over her shoulder in a parking garage to being able to cope with her own emotions, take responsibility for her actions and their consequences, and then eventually talk to her friends like an adult. I am sort of proud.
Also, once again, I totally want fic. Possibly where Bo is all ~injured~ and in pain and she and Lauren spoon. Or IDK, something with kissing. HELP ME OUT INTERNET. YOU'RE MY ONLY HOPE.
IN CONCLUSION: LIFE'S A HAPPY SONG, THIS EPISODE WAS WONDERFUL, HOW DOES THIS SHOW CONTINUE TO BE THIS GOOD.
