Guys, I am having a KRISTEN STEWART EMERGENCY, mainly because I saw Snow White and the Huntsman last night and POSSIBLY IT SHOULD BE CALLED SNOW WHITE AND HER WEIRD SEXUAL TENSION WITH HER STEPMOM, but also it was pretty much everything I have ever wanted EVER in a movie and I may just quit fandom now because nothing will ever be as good.

I have plans to go again next weekend with

carmen_sandiego and it is not soon enough.

Basically: I cannot believe this movie is a real thing. I cannot believe how much I loved it, I want to discuss it with everyone and see it a hundred more times.

HAI LIVEJOURNAL!

I am back from my vacation, which was a delightful adventure, and I got to hang out with

deej who is lovely ~~and not at all axe-murdery, mostly~~ and a super-generous host. I also saw LOTS OF OLD THINGS, it was the best.

As a result of being on vacation, things I am behind on include: the last two episodes of Lip Service, the last three episodes of Community. Folks who spoiler me for these will make me very cross.

However, I maaaaybe brought the first season of Leverage with me on holiday and maaaaybe started watching it and maaaybe hypothetically I'm starting season two right now and BASICALLY, WHERE IS THE FIC WHERE PARKER IS SOPHIE'S LIVE-IN LOVER. THEY ARE SO GOOD WITH EACH OTHER AND I FEEL LIKE THEY WOULD BOTH BE EXCELLENT AT ODDLY AFFECTIONATE YET VERY CASUAL SEX, Y/Y/MFY? Tell me this is a thing that is real.

Also, asdlfkjs;kj; CAN WE DISCUSS THE STUFF THAT IS COMING OUT RE: WAREHOUSE S4? Because ( there are some spoilers through the end of S3 and for S4 preview stuff. )

Oh good grief, has it been this long since I posted? I AM ASHAMED OF MYSELF, INTERNET. FOR REALS. Anyway:

1) EXCITING THINGS HAPPEN TOMORROW. Namely: it is my posting date for

fivetimesbb, which means my Bo And Lauren Are Sexy Pirates: No Seriously, It Works: Trust Me Epic is now DONE. I am pretty thrilled.

Also: I get on an airplane and then I get to hang out with

deej and

ladyvivien and also have adventures in THE LAND WHERE LITERALLY I COULD SEE A CASTLE EVERY SINGLE DAY AND NOT SEE ALL THE CASTLES. I am pretty pumped about this development, as I am sure you can all imagine.

2) Watching Lip Service. THAT SHOW IS RIDICULOUS, yet I kind of love it all the same.

Ahaha, so you guys, the Lost Girl S1 DVDs are out and I love this show (obvs, see previous re: all of my feelings ever), but LOLLLL LOWEST BUDGET DVDS EVER. Literally there are no special features, the back of the DVD box is a cast list and a list of 'features' such as: sound, subtitles, colour.

carmen_sandiego was joking with me on Twitter that ~maybe there was even scene selection~, but ACTUALLY: NO. YOU JUST SELECT AN EPISODE AND IT PLAYS FROM START TO FINISH, AND IF THAT'S NOT FANCY ENOUGH FOR YOU THEN MAYBE YOU SHOULD GO WATCH SOME OF THAT FANCY-PANTS MONEY-WASTING ~AMERICAN PROGRAMMING~.

Things that are awesome: Bo and Lauren and Kenzi and Hale on my TV in GLORIOUS HIGH-DEF. Some people's hair does not really look that great in GLORIOUS HIGH-DEF, but IT IS THERE. Also, for those of you who have qualms about ~dubious methods of TV acquiring~, you can now stop your hemming and hawing. Watch this stupid TV show full of lovable dumb Canadians with bizarre powers who make out and are best friends and sometimes have to come together to fight people's evil moms.

Also SOMEDAY IN A FUTURE NEAR ENOUGH THAT I CAN ACTUALLY ENVISION IT, my RL will slow down enough for me to finish my

fivetimesbb, and oh good grief I PINE FOR THE DAY.

Other things:

1. Lip Service is back and on the one hand: A TV SHOW ENTIRELY ABOUT LESBIANS, NO BOYS ALLOWED, THEY SHOULD MAKE THAT EXIST ON ALL THE SHOW. Also: Heather Peace doing things. On the other, I want to knock Frankie and Cat's heads together, WHY.
2. I am totally super enjoying The New Girl, but. . .mostly for Jess. I kind of don't care about Schmidt at all. Still: jokes! People! Fabulous dresses!

Happy long weekend of several different religious holidays, internet. I hope yours has been as excellent as mine has.

1. In celebration of spring/also I just bought it and it did not work as well on my toes as I thought it would, I now have electric lime nails. THIS IS AWESOME. I feel simultaneously super 80s and like a pretty princess.

2. I have been really really trying to work steadily at my

fivetimesbb story, which is Bo and Lauren being pirates and IDK swashbuckling and making out and stuff, as I am sort of panicking re: the idea of getting it done by the end of the month. It is 8,000 words, and probably will end up being about 9 once I sit down and turn some of the [and then they do this] bits into actual paragraphs. This means, on the one hand, that I am almost done I AM PRETTY SURE. But on the other, this means I now get to start the pretty mammoth task of editing it into something approaching a decent story.

3. To coax myself into doing that, I let myself write a tiny sliver of Bo/The Morrigan. FEEL FREE TO FOLLOW MY EXAMPLE AND WRITE MORE, GUYS. Possibly with bondage, and/or maple syrup.

4. I still have So Many Feelings over the Lost Girl S2 finale, and I do not know where I go to find the people who are also freaking out over how great/ridiculous/who cares it's awesome this show is. (And, obviously, writing the post-finale fic and talking endlessly about how Bo should totally - with Lauren's blessing - start sleeping with the Morrigan on the side and also shipping the fuck out of Kenzi and Hale and kind of sometimes secretly shipping Bo and Kenzi.)

I am debating trying to organize some kind of fic thing at

bo_lauren, although really what I want is a GIANT ALL-LADIES-ALL-THE-TIME KINK MEME, and for everyone I know who is amazing at fic to play.

GUYS. LOST. GIRL.

This episode was awesome and legitimately everything I wanted out of a finale and also THE ENTIRE THEME OF THE EPISODE WAS LADIES SOLVING PROBLEMS AND SAVING SHIT AND BEING FANTASTIC, WHILE DUDES ARE HELPFUL SORT OF I GUESS. Best.

In conclusion: THIS SHOW, you guys. This ridiculous, over the top, melodramatic, Canadian hour of magical awesomeness. I want to gay marry it in a glorious yet tasteful ceremony off the coast of Newfoundland. Our cake will be covered in maple syrup.

Guys! As I have explained/groused numerous times, I am writing a story for

fivetimesbb. IT IS GOING TO BE AWESOME.

The other awesome thing about it is that they are taking signups for artists who want to make art for the stories being written. There are a ton of different fandoms represented, so if you are an artistic person you should totally check out the list of story synopses and see if one fits with what you like to make. Hello, Livejournal!

1. I am currently almost finished my rewatch of Buffy S6 and S7. Verdict: Season 6 was better once rewatched as not a sixteen-year-old. Spike is still really gross. That last episode with Amber Benson in it still makes me cry. Buffy really did give a lot of speeches in S7. I still have massive crushes on both Kennedy and Faith, WHAT DO YOU MEAN I HAVE A TYPE.

2. OMGOMGOMGOMG OKAY WE NEED TO DISCUSS THIS AND THIS. So Lost Girl spoilers have been leaking (now that the S3 scripts are starting to get written, I guess?), and aslkdjfl;sjf. On the one hand, ( cut for SPOILERS for SEASON 3 ) On the other, ( cut for more spoilers )

ANYWAY. Basically this is all giving me a ton of theories and I cannot wait to see the rest of this season.

3. I just need to say this somewhere, because I have been reading the Lost Girl tag on Tumblr and that is an excellent way to get super, super upset at misogyny in fandom:

Hello, internet! It has been ever so long since last we spoke. Some things:

1) Real life has made me ever so sleepy, and I am currently in that place where I really want to ~do fandom stuff~, but am really only up to passively consuming TV and nodding quietly. I plan to take it easy this weekend, because CLEARLY I need to recover in time for both new Lost Girl tomorrow, AND ALSO making approx. 192038498 Dyson: World's Crankiest Relationship Counsellor icons, because I am still not done lolling at that.

2) Oh man. Did you know that watching episodes of Xena and then Lucy Lawless episodes of BSG back to back is really surreal? Because it totally, totally is. She is ten years older yet INEXPLICABLY EVEN HOTTER ~~POSSIBLY BECAUSE OF ALL THE CARESSING TRICIA HELFER~~.

3) Hey, did you know that I wrote fic? Because I 100% did, and I think it's pretty awesome. I am now posting my fic on AO3 at the same time as posting on LJ, in case you wish to subscribe to my on AO3 rather than following

scurvyknavery. The kudos system still drives me NUTS ~~grumblegrumble anons clicking the like button grumblegrumble in my day we had to write comments with words in them uphill in the snow etc etc stupid whippersnappers ruining everything~~, but that seems to be what people are doing these days.
