My only problem is that I need like, a very easy-to-read flowchart of exactly which issues I should read next and why. Figuring out comics is a challenge for me.

When I started on the movie, I was just getting to know my co-stars Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy but we've become so close! To be honest, other than that (and like, ~real life~) I have not been doing anything terribly exciting. Mostly - when I am not like, agonizing over basic video game choices in Dragon Age: Origins - I have been trying to chip away at my ridiculous Blake/Olivia, because a) the 'canon'

thrace_ and I have been inventing around it is hilarious and awesome, and b) I don't think I'll be able to work on my

femslash10 properly until I get this done. Sigh.

In related news, this Fringe vid that

hollywoodgrrl made is fantastic. It's supposed to be a "recruiter" vid, and basically it demonstrates that FRINGE HAS A LOT OF EXPLOSIONS. And science. Etc. Also Anna Torv. And some guy who used to be on some show about a river, I guess people like him.

Oh god. So you guys know how I keep threatening to inflict my CIA Agent Blake Lively/Hotass FBI Agent Olivia Dunham fic on all of you, right? Well, UNBEKNOWNST TO YOU ALL,

thrace_ has quietly been enabling me this whole time. Because, like.

This is not just a story about Blake and Olivia hooking up. It's also the stepping stone into an entire separate universe that basically makes Fringe into The L Word except not terrible and nobody has cancer and also they fight crime.

thrace_ has a wicked primer on this universe up in her journal (I helped), and it's amazing. There are ficlets and a flowchart and everything.

1. I wrote Fringe fic, you guys. It was really scary, because I am weird about ~jumping into new fandoms~ like that, but now that I have written that story, I feel way better about writing more! MAYBE LATER I WILL.

fivewhatfive to stop being so unreasonable about Anna Torv, because she TOTALLY WATCHED THE FINALE and then coined the phrase "reverse Hannah Montana wig" to describe Alt!Olivia, and that is amazing/exactly what it is. I like when she says hilarious stuff about things that I love.

2. People who have watched Fringe for more than a month: is there a femslash comm for that fandom? Would it not be rad if someone started one? I mean, probably not me, because I'd name it something like "oliviasgaypassiton" or "chicksdoingit_fringe" or something equally tasteful, but whatever. My point is, all I could find was

olivia_astrid, and is there another?

3. When I get back, there is TOTALLY going to be a Legend of the Seeker Texts From Last Night challenge, because apparently the consensus is "that would be awesome, also your mom." Some of the people who answered "your mom" had better mean "your mom and I are going to participate," or this is going to be a smallll challenge.

Incidentally, I am fascinated by the OVERWHELMING RESPONSE to my "who would be on top" poll compared to the number of people who answered my TFLN challenge poll. It's like some of you have opinions on gay sex, or something.

4. BRB, GOING TO COMIC-CON. See you all on Monday, if I don't get a chance to post before then. (Although, OBVIOUSLY, if you are one of the people I email with on a regular basis, then GOOD LUCK GETTING A BREAK FROM THAT, LOSERS.) My goal for the weekend is to ask for and receive a hug from as many stormtroopers as possible.

Oh man, I am having such nostalgia for old movies, you guys. And by "old" I mean "from 2000." I was running some errands today, and suddenly Clare Kramer shouting, "big, dykey, LOSER" popped into my head, and then I was like, "OH MAN WHAT MOVIE IS THAT FROM," and that's when I realized that I haven't watched Bring It On in like, years. Years, you guys. Do you know how many times I watched that movie on VHS?

Memories.

Also, I maaaay have written something for the Porn Battle. But it might suck. BUT I WROTE IT ANYWAY, so there you go. Expect it soon, I want to try and post before Wednesday if I can.

In conclusion, you guys, I'm pretty sure that what Legend of the Seeker fandom needs this summer is a Texts From Last Night challenge. (That, for the uninitiated, is a ficathon in which people "claim" from a selection of Texts From Last Night and use them as prompts for fic.) + Oh man. I love writing these long, epic stories, but I hate that feeling of being adrift, writing-wise, once I've posted. I've spent all of my writing time so intensely focused on this one piece, and now I don't know what to do with myself anymore. It's done, but I sort of miss it, you know?

+ I'm also really trying to write Fringe, because after marathoning the entire series in a month, I just want to write awesome stuff about Olivia and how rad she is. If anyone at all wants to discuss that, or the ways in which her various hairstyles are very important, or which of her suits is your favourite, or how weird it is when she kisses boys because OH MY GOD SHE READS AS SO SCREAMINGLY QUEER TO ME (which, okay, does not preclude boy-kissing, but I found it very surprising in a way I can't quite articulate properly), I would be okay with having those conversations. We could use visual aids to underscore our very serious arguments. ESPECIALLY THAT LAST ONE.

ALSO ALSO, speaking of fandoms I loved before Seeker: Selena Gomez is currently filming her movie with Leighton in Budapest right now, and omg. In my heart of hearts - since we know that Leighton is a double agent for MI:6 - Selena has been getting recruited into the spy game. Her day job as an actress is THE PERFECT COVER. She's YOUNG AND IMPRESSIONABLE. She and Leighton could bond over Selena's lady troubles and Leighton could point out just HOW MUCH TAIL YOU GET when you're a spy.

And, I mean, I think Selena's not exactly being subtle about hinting at her new career in international espionage.

I raise this issue because the Seeker finale aired less than a day ago, and I'm pretty sure that the entire internet hasn't seen it yet. And this is kind of an ongoing thing in the fandom, from what I've seen over the past couple months - the typical grace period for spoiler warnings in headers is at least a week, in some fandoms it's as long as a month or an entire season, as a courtesy to new viewers. Just something to think about.

LOLL you guys I had a dream last night that Demi Lovato tweeted about losing her virginity, and I SWEAR TO GOD I woke up and thought it had actually happened. WHAT IS MY DEAL.

Also, okay. So there's this big bang (for the uninitiated: fic challenge for stories >10K words) for Gossip Girl taking signups, called

xoxobigbang, and I sort of secretly really want to sign up. There is this epic story, involving Blair and Vanessa trapped in Manhattan (on Manhattan?) after the apocalypse, that I've been kicking around since I signed up for

apocabigbang and had to bail, and I just like, want to. But I keep waffling, because like, what if I really want to spend a vast chunk of my summer writing epic Cara/Kahlan AUs instead? WHAT THEN.

The other thing we need to discuss, ladies and gents: THE FACT THAT SELENA GOMEZ AND LEIGHTON MEESTER ARE DOING A MOVIE TOGETHER, goodness gracious. I have a secret hope in my heart that Leighton will like, get her drunk and teach her to have fun, in a very gentle and only slightly age-inappropriate way.

thrace_ and I got to talking, about how Blake is a viking and what if Kahlan and Cara (yes yes, mixing RPF and FPF, whatever) were like, on a journey to the far north and happened to run into the territory of Blaaken the Bloodthirsty and her favourite wench Laetin, and then maybe they had wild adventures and there was girlsex.

AND THEN SHE WROTE IT.

Guys, Every Mile Is Two In Winter. IT IS WONDROUS, and you don't have to know anything about Blaaken the Bloodthirsty for it to make sense. JUST READ IT AND BASK IN HOW GOOD IT IS.

Also, I don't know if you guys have heard of

ladykink, but perhaps you should go there and write stories for it. (But - maybe not Legend of the Seeker fic. There's something coming for that, next week.)
